Miley Cyrus kept her MTV Europe Music Awards performances pretty tame, but we're guessing she knew she'd get people talking with her EMAs acceptance speech.

All eyes were on the 20-year-old singer as she went to collect the award for Best Video for "Wrecking Ball," telling the crowd she didn't think she would be able to fit the award in her purse as she put the trophy on the ground.

Cyrus went on to thank her fans for making the award happen, before she started digging through her bag and pulled out what appeared to be a joint. "I couldn't fit this award in my bag, but I did find this," she said holding up the joint before sparking it up.

Cyrus isn't shy about her love of marijuana. In September she told Rolling Stone, "I think weed is the best drug on earth," and since she's been in Amsterdam for the EMAs, she's reportedly been hitting up the city's famous coffee shops that allow patrons to enjoy all the weed they want.

Though it's sold openly in cafes, marijuana still isn't legal in the Netherlands, however smokers in possession of less than five grams of cannabis have no fear of prosecution, according to the Associated Press.

Cory Booker goes to Washington a celebrity and Senator

WASHINGTON - WASHINGTON (AP) - when the U.S. Senate passed a Bill to ban discrimination against homosexuals and transsexuals, people your new Member's first impulse was to scream with joy. Then remembered where was.

On the other hand, Cory Booker reached in his pocket for his phone.

"I have everything via Twitter," said Booker, which has 1.4 million followers.

Booker, 44-year-old former Democratic Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, entered in the Congress as a rookie Senator rare with celebrity status. It has been dubbed a mayor by Oprah Winfrey rock star, has been called a hero for pulling a neighbour from his burning home in 2012 and hobnobbing with Matt Damon.

During his first week in the Congress, Booker tried to balance immersion in his new job with standing of his colleagues in the Senate already serious 99. Booker allowed The Associated Press to its comings and goings of the shadow.

"The model encouraged you to follow when Franken or Hillary Clinton," said Delaware Senator Chris Coons, a Democrat and a friend of Booker. "People who came to the Senate with large national profiles but showed the will to work, to eat, to visit every corner of their State and really focus on the interests of the hogar-estado".

Coons came into the Senate after a special election in 2010. It is helping Booker, who also won a special election, sails and knows what it is to start working with no orientation and a minimum of staff.

After an oath that fills on 31 October with the media and fans, Booker has been mostly out of the spotlight. He is studying the minutiae of the rules of the Senate and he has participated in many meetings. It has worked in the Senate gym to meet with colleagues and attended a bipartisan prayer breakfast.

Known for his soaring oratory and confidence, is now listening to and making questions, sometimes seem overwhelmed or confused - and shows flashes of his brash sense of humor in the midst of the business of the day.

At his first hearing on Wednesday of the Committee, joked that "I still have that smell new Senator" after saying that the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which would devastate higher flood insurance rates New Jersey areas.

Vice President Joe Biden asked if he could lie down on the couch. And responded to a question on Twitter about his thoughts on working with romances: 'no! Especially if you have 99 colleagues in 1 body more August world".

Two times he went to the White House. He joined a group of Democratic Senators Wednesday, and hours after being sworn in, had a private visit with President Barack Obama.

"There was a guy with a soccer ball and took it, and the President and I had a small problem," said Booker, who played football at Stanford. Obama, said, congratulated his spiral.

Booker was the first to arrive at a Democratic caucus lunch Tuesday, building up your plate with vegetables. He had peeled plastic wrap from a bowl as Luisiana Senator Mary Landrieu came. The two towards the back of the room and sat down.

"Senator Menéndez came and said: 'That's my seat'." And of course I went into panic,"said Booker. "Would at first I said to myself, ' Oh my God, really sitting in your seat?'" Another Senator came and I tried to play the same trick on me."

Booker and his mother, Carolyn, met privately with Harry Reid of Nevada majority leader. Father of Booker, Cary, suffered a stroke in August shortly after moving to Las Vegas, and days before the Democratic primary Booker. Reid visited his bedside table at night, and when he died on 10 October, Reid approached Booker and his family.

In many ways, Booker is only a man accustomed to a new job - learning the rules and his colleagues, as everyone has had at some point.

It received its first vote minutes after being sworn in and thought votes were cast by pressing a button or a lever. On the other hand, he learned, "raise your hand." In a vote, Booker lost its name while chatting with colleagues and marked by the Secretary of the Senate, vote Yes with a thumbs-up.

It brought a directory of Congress Thursday and observed carefully, occasionally glancing to match it with a Senator with a photo of each speaker. He is also learning how to navigate the maze that is the Capitol and its office buildings.

"This is the way home?" he asked his Chief of staff as the two crossed the basement of the Senate.

He said he plans to advocate for the residents of New Jersey, waiting to make sure that they receive unclaimed income credits and help victims of superstorm Sandy. He met with ethics official to see how you can make the associations public - private for New Jersey, as he did in Newark - most famous with a donation of $100 million of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg founding schools of the city.

And although he has been caring for his manners, it is still the same Cory Booker. A stalwart supporter of gay rights, finally left that cry into his office after the vote of labour discrimination.

"Call all in New Jersey," Booker told his staff, "and tell them that we are a step closer to a nation equal."

jonathan martin text Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito (68) and tackle Jonathan Martin (71) stand on the field during practice in Davie, Fla. on July 24, 2013.

Attempting to provide context for his treatment of teammate Jonathan Martin, Richie Incognito claimed he also received a threatening text message. The suspended Miami Dolphins guard made this revelation when he sat down with Jay Glazer of FOX Sports to discuss the Dolphins' bullying scandal involving him and Martin. A second-year offensive tackle, Martin abruptly left the Dolphins on Oct. 28 to receive treatment for emotional distress. Incognito, once named the NFL's dirtiest player in a poll of his peers, was subsequently suspended by the Dolphins on Nov. 2 for unspecified misconduct related to alleged mistreatment of Martin.

"People don't know how John and I communicate to one another," Incognito explained to Glazer. "For instance, a week before this went down, Jonathan Martin texts me on my phone: 'I will murder your whole effing family.' Now, did I think Jonathan Martin was going to murder my family? Not one bit. I knew it was coming from a brother. I knew it was coming from a friend. I knew it was coming from a teammate."

Hours after the interview aired on FOX on Sunday afternoon, David Cornwell, an attorney for Martin, shared a profane Internet meme featuring a smiling woman and a dog on Twitter and indicated this was the message that Incognito mentioned to Glazer.

WARNING: Image Below Contains Strong Language

Is that what viewers had in mind as Incognito recalled the text message?

Incognito referenced the text from Martin when asked about the threatening voice and text messages he had reportedly sent that included racial slurs. Speaking with Glazer, Incognito confirmed leaving the following voicemail for Martin, who is bi-racial.

“Hey, wassup, you half n—– piece of [expletive] . . . I saw you on Twitter, you been training ten weeks. [I want to] [expletive] in your [expletive] mouth. [I'm going to] slap your [expletive] mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face (laughter). [Expletive] you, you’re still a rookie. I’ll kill you.”

Although he did expressed embarrassment over the voicemail, Incognito cited the text from Martin as evidence that both players traded similar threats in jest. He portrayed a locker room culture where such language was acceptable.

"When I see that voicemail, when I see those words come across the screen, I'm embarrassed by it," Incognito said after he was presented with a transcript of the offensive voicemail he left for Martin. "I'm embarrassed by my actions. But what I want people to know is, the way Jonathan and the rest of the offensive line and how our teammates, how we communicate it's vulgar. It's not right."

60 Minutes apologizes for report of Benghazi: 'We are very distressed'

'60 Minutes' issued a brief apology in the air and correction on Sunday for his sloppy, damaged report in Benghazi attacks, but gave few details on the failures that led to the retraction of one piece had defended unconditionally.

Speaking of Dylan Davies, the man discredited in the heart of his work, correspondent Lara Logan told viewers, "we realized we had been deceived, and that it was a mistake to include it in our report." For this reason, we feel very distressed."

The venerable program forced an embarrassing retreat after had defended himself during a week on the reliability of Davies, a British security official. On Thursday night, it was revealed that Davies - who had already admitted to lying to a superior about his whereabouts on the night of the attack - had also said the FBI came close the American compound when it was held, a statement totally at odds with the detailed, heartbreaking story told "60 minutes".

It was the second apology on the air delivered by Logan. On Friday, he was on television to say that it was "wrong" that have put Davies in the air.

As it was expected, its Sunday mea culpa offered little insight into why Davies was chosen as a key source for the report, and why '60 minutes' had so fervently defended it, even in the midst of growing evidence of its lack of reliability. Also unmentioned was what role, if any, corporate ties played in the placement of Davies in the heart of the piece. A conservative stamp of Simon and Schuster, which is owned by CBS, had published a book about Davies Benghazi. That book is already removed.

Many observers of the media was impressed less pronounced:

Media matters, which led to the accusation against the report, issued a statement of its founder David Brock, who called the apology "entirely selfish and totally inadequate".
