However, when my guy suggested the Belize-06, just before that we have used to have diving, opening a session on social media to share the news not an option. And I ended up being more agree with this. In fact, there is no finally change our status until almost two weeks after we became engaged. It just did not matter to me as much as I expected.
But when I read the results of the survey published by the WeClickd.com marriage social networking site that seven out of ten women update their Facebook relationship status within 24 hours to marry, I totally understood the constraint. Because, within 24 hours after it was committed, I was dying to tell the world (as in, my Facebook friends). But, because we were in the above-mentioned foreign countries, not only I was unable to use my phone, I could not wear my ring. (We were warned to not value in public.) Soon, the desire's shares collapsed in all just enjoy the fact that my guy and I had a pretty amazing secret.
Do not update Facebook has taught me it is nice, it was to be truly disconnected and live in the moment. In fact, waiting to announce the news actually made me even more excited for sharing with people who more important when we got home.
While I certainly don't judge the majority of women who are updating their Facebook status immediately, I will not be one of them. In fact, I don't want to even think about Facebook on my day of marriage at all - not when I say my vows, not as long as I'm getting on the dance floor and certainly not when I wake my husband (!) in our bridal suite the next day morning. (In addition, anyone I care to say on my marry would probably knowledge-slash-have-seen it.)
If there is a time to disconnect, in my humble opinion, it is your wedding day.
