Study: There is a wage gap because women choose poorly paying jobs

Okay, help us here. We do not know if this is good new or another attempt to BS of anti-Lean to-ERS to convince us ladies that we are on the same professional field than our beautiful male counterparts. Insists a new survey by PayScale (via Atlantic) as ol ' women make 77 cents for every dollar a man made ' proclamation - a defence which we clutch on and spit out each time as a misogynistic d - bag to our jobs laugh (no, just me?)-is completely wrong.

Of course, there is a wage gap when you look at wages in all areas, the peeps behind the investigation say, but when you compare wages between men and women with a level of training and experience, responsibilities, similar company size and other constraints, the ratio decreased so drastically, it is barely existing. Then...Is WTH really?

This research argues that the real issue is not that women are paid less just, it is this work of women in careers that pay less overall, as compared to engineering health care. Indeed, nine out of 10 jobs higher up on the list of PayScale were held mainly by men, while nine of the 10 lowest paying jobs were in female-dominated. I guess that's what explains why you don't ever hear a guy say, Oh, "I am just going to marry a rich girl." Sigh. That being said, we believe that there is more that contribute the difference between the sexes that only women choosing lower-paying concerts. As a kind of discrimination, Hi?

The good news? With women earning more than Bachelor's degrees these days and the recent push to stem careers, things could - and if all goes well, change. P.S. If you are still browsing the great deep, try to understand your future, becoming a dental hygienist: according to the survey, it pays to be a lady.
